North Sea Surf Shots exists to capture photographs of the waves of Scotland, and the surfers braving our cold seas to ride them.
I'm Adam El-Naggar. I grew up in Moray and was forever at Banff, Cullen, and Lossiemouth, enjoying some of the Moray Firth's perfect beaches (which I like to think made a lasting impression!)
I worked as a pool lifeguard until I moved to Aberdeen to start university, and it was there I learned to surf and qualified as a beach lifeguard. From then on, I've never been able to stay away from the sea.
I started North Sea Surf Shots in February 2017, motivated by the unique and breathtaking moments experienced in the sea, and the desire to share those experiences with others.
Whenever I'm not working my regular job (we all have to!), I'm searching for waves and good light, wherever my Seat Ibiza will take me.. who needs a van, right?
We have a varied and stunning coastline in Scotland, from the vast Atlantic Ocean to the rugged North Sea. Raw, cold, and beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better playground. I hope you enjoy my small piece of it.
