North Sea Surf Shots exists to capture photographs of the waves of Scotland, and the surfers braving our cold seas to ride them.
I'm Adam El-Naggar. I grew up in Moray and was forever at Banff, Cullen, and Lossiemouth, enjoying some of the Moray Firth's perfect beaches (which I like to think made a lasting impression!)
I learned to surf in Aberdeen, where I also qualified as a beach lifeguard. Since then, I’ve never been able to stay away from the sea.
I started North Sea Surf Shots in February 2017, motivated by the unique and breathtaking moments experienced in the sea, and the desire to share those experiences with others.
When I’m not taking photos, I work as a surf & SUP instructor both in Scotland and abroad. But in downtime you might find me searching our shores for waves, good light, and quiet places.
We have a varied and stunning coastline in Scotland, from the vast Atlantic Ocean to the rugged North Sea. Raw, cold, and beautiful. I hope you enjoy my small piece of it.
