North Sea Surf Shots exists to capture photographs of the waves of Scotland, and the surfers braving our cold seas to ride them.
Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, I founded North Sea Surf Shots in February 2017, motivated by the unique and breathtaking moments experienced in the sea, and the desire to share those experiences with others.
As a long time surfer and photographer, it was only a matter of time before the two combined! There are lots of very talented photographers documenting the sea from the water in places like Australia and Indonesia, but no-one in Scotland. Enter North Sea Surf Shots.
We have a varied and stunning coastline in Scotland. Raw, cold, and beautiful. All of the photos are taken here in our Scottish seas, using a thick wetsuit and fins. I couldn’t ask for a better playground.
I believe being able to hold a physical image in your hands completes a photograph, and I aim for my prints to grab the viewer’s attention, highlight the beauty of the sea, and bring character to the walls and spaces in which they live.
Photographic prints are made in Scotland and are offered in a variety of sizes unframed, framed or on metal or canvas.
5% of the proceeds from every sale is donated to Surfers Against Sewage, an environmental charity working to protect our local waves, oceans and beaches.. the places we love.
